The fifth videoconference of the Series, "Smart City: A New Platform for the 4th Industrial Revolution" will be held on July 11st (Tue) from 16:00~17:30 (Seoul Time)  
 
Course Information:
As seen from recent movements of developed countries as well as developing countries, Smart City is considered as one of the areas to experience most exponential growth in the days to come. Smart City is transforming into ‘City as a Platform,’ which seeks to achieve beyond improving citizens’ convenience. The concept of Smart City is to transform a city into one that is more cost-effective and capable of effective management, and can create new values and opportunities by promoting various urban infrastructure such as Smart Energy, Smart Transportation, etc. Based on KT’s Smart City construction cases including those of the host city of 2018 Olympics ‘PyeongChang’ and an autonomous vehicle cluster ‘Pangyo,’ the lecture aims at analyzing the role and major impacts of Smart City as a key platform of the 4th Industrial Revolution and addressing suggestions for how to facilitate expansion of Smart.
